Template from SAB Simply Sent Happy Hello

This is a single small box that I made using the SAB Simply Sent Happy Hello cards. I saw this on Laura Haffke's video on StampinConnection.  I wanted to make a template of the card so that I would have the pattern for making the box and more cards with the same shape so that I would have it after SAB was over.  Below is the picture of the pattern.
You can make the box using regular cardstock.  Cut a 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock in half at 5 1/2".  Score  on the long side at 4 1/4" , 3 3/4",4 3/4" . Turn and score on the short side at 1" on each side.  Cut at 3 3/4" and 4 3/4" up to the score line.
Fold in half at 4 1/4" and using an extra large Oval punch, punch 1 hole at the top of your box and then punch the opposite hole for your handle.  The cardstock is too thick to punch them at the same time.  Apply sticky strip on the part that will be the front of the box.(2  pieces on each side) Remove pieces of sticky strip from the front sides of the box and fold in the back sides first, then the small middle and finally the front sides.  Before folding the box together and cutting the oval pice out, turn it over and cut the designer paper 5"x 3".  The oval piece that you cut out will be the "tag" with the stamped image on it.

Happy Good Friday,blogger friends

This is my version of the new "POP 'N' CUTS die for the dress form/table for the very versatile Big Shot.  This card was an inspiration from fellow card swapper, Phyllis Strickland.  I chose the Wisteria because it is the favorite color of  our granddaughter.  Below is the inside of the card.

Thanks to my friend, Kendra, I was able to rotate this picture so that you didn't have to "twist your neck to see it"  I decided to put a "mirror" behind the dress using velllum and the silver glimmer paper and using the Oval framelits to cut it out.  The Happy Birthday is from the Perfectly Penned stamp set  stamped in Wisteria Wonder.  The DSP is Twitterpated. I have tended to use some of that paper but not all of it and really like the striped and basic gray paper.  I think that these dies are going to get used a lot.  How do you like the card?  More coming-. . . be sure to check back.  Happy Stamping!

Happy Monday, blogger friends

My Diva swap cards - finally finished so off to the postoffice with them.  Don't know if you can see the "sparkle" on them or not.  Hand painted the flowers for the March, Best of Flowers stamp set.  Used pumpkin pie, Daffodil yellow, and clear Dazzling Delights and Olive green for the background.  Used the masking technique on the triple layered card.  Hope you like it.
This might be a little easier to see the "sparkle"  This was time consuming but I like the finished product, do you?  Happy Stamping!

Happy Wednesday, blogger friends

Love the "crisp" look of this card.  Had been wanting to try out this technique using the inkpads directly to the acrylic blocks.  Decided to do it for my 1 hour "WOW" workshop this evening.  Love the "Best of 25 years March stamp set.  Added a little "bling" to the hydranga.  Have some people new to stamping coming and can't wait to show them the "World of Stamping!"
This is the "stepped up" version of the above card format.  Will do this in my next class using the "masking technique". Tell me what you think about the cards.  In the meantime, Happy Stamping!

Happy Thursday, blogging friends

Aren't these 3 x 3 cards adorable?  These are CASED from our SW demonstrator  February
meeting that Kadie Labadie shared with us- It was our Make & Take for the evening.  Love the honeycomb embossing folder and the Pretty Petites stamp set and Petite Curly Label punch from the SAB catalog.  Am sad that Sale-a-bration will be ending next week.  It went too fast! I was having some trouble when I used the embossing folder with the 2 standard cutting pads with the big shot- some of the "honeycombs" were cutting through the cardstock so switched to using the premium crease pad on the top aned it worked perfectly. I would love to hear any comments.  In the meantime, Happy Stamping!
